Dr Ivana Poparic is Head of Cluster Development of MedCity, an organisation representing London’s world-leading health and life sciences cluster and now part of the London & Partners family. She leads a team supporting the development of new life sciences infrastructure to attract more inward investment and research into London region. She guides life sciences organisations to find right R&D and manufacturing spaces in London and works with developers, investors and local government to facilitate development of new life sciences spaces and city’s innovation districts. Ivana is one of the funding members of Constructing Science (CS) consortium, group of UK-based experts that came together in 2022 to provide construction guidance to set up the building of science standards. Ivana has extensive scientific and commercial expertise and leadership across the innovation pathway for drugs, devices, and digital technologies. Following a PhD in Human Genetics, her experience includes academic research, technology transfer, clinical research management, business development and investment roles.
